After Troy Budziszewski of North East kicked a 25-yard field goal in the first quarter, Sargent scored on a 2-yard run in the second period. Budziszewski’s PAT produced a 10-0 halftime difference. Sargent broke free for a 56-yard TD romp in the third. The City ended its scoreless drought when Dave Herbe hit former McDowell teammate Robert Ward for a 27-yard touchdown pass. Herbe tossed to Tywan Salter of Strong Vincent for the 2-point conversion. Jim Stafford of Seneca passed 3 yards to Justin Haney of Fairview for a County TD in the fourth quarter. Sargent completed the scoring with a 1-yard plunge. Haney caught 4 passes for 21 yards. Marquis Knight of Strong Vincent led the City ground game with 10 carries for 46 yards.
