Game Summary
1983 : County 7, City 0

The only touchdown in this defensive battle came after the City was guilty of a bad snap on punt formation. The County recovered at the City 7-yard line. Pat Herr of Fort LeBoeuf took a handoff from Chip Nuzzo of Corry and went the distance on the next play. Jon Karsh of North East kicked the extra point. The lone score enabled the County to end an 11-year winless drought in the Save-An-Eye series. The County had the game’s best drive in the second period, reaching the City 12-yard line behind Rich Barber of Fairview and Herr before the threat ended. The City squelched scoring opportunities set up by interceptions by Brian Horn of Tech and Ron Lomax of East. Mark Bujnoski of McDowell and Andre Overton of Academy led the ground game for the City.
