Coach Joe Shesman of Fort LeBoeuf switched from his usual running game as the County racked up 201 yards passing. Chris Smith of LeBoeuf connected on 7 of 9 passes for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns. Josh Clark of Harbor Creek had touchdown receptions of 89 and 34 yards. Jeremy Thompson of Northwestern hit 3 of 4 passing for 38 yards and connected with Matt Puskar of Seneca for a 25-yard touchdown. Maurice Page of Strong Vincent scored on a 1-yard run and Peter Gervace of Prep kicked a 24-yard field goal for the City’s points. Lincoln Bufalino of General McLane was the top County rusher with 41 yards on 16 carries. Bryan Gore of East led the City runners with 60 yards on 15 carries. Page added 52 yards on 12 carries. The City completed 2 of 11 passes for 6 yards.

Game Summary
2000: City 14, County 7

A solid City defense limited the County to 63 yards of total offense. The County had quality runners in Josh Fiske of Fort LeBoeuf, Justin Platz and Greg Baker of Girard, but was held to 18 yards on 19 carries. Garrison Brown of Central scored the deciding touchdown on a 60-yard punt return. The other City touchdown came on a 11-yard pass from Eric Carlson of Prep to Kevin Farr of Strong Vincent. Farr had 4 catches for 30 yards. Jason Dolak of Prep kicked two extra points. Matt Riccomini of General McLane had a 2-yard run for the only County touchdown. Mike Soltis of Northwestern added the conversion. Pat Hoderny of McDowell passed for 139 yards on just 5 completions.
